Out of Home Placements and Services

When safety concerns do exist, or if other circumstances make out of home placement necessary, children are placed in certified resource homes (formerly referred to as foster homes) in their original community. Out of home placements are temporary, last resort solutions when families are facing a crisis or are unable to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Case managers visit both the resource homes (and/or other out of home placements) and the biological parents to work towards identified goals with the goal of reunifying the children with their families.
